Are you worth $1 USD? Ask Kaspersky….

admin EXPERIENTIAL, TECHNOLOGY

Perhaps one of the most interesting pop-up stores, Kaspersky Labs the internet security company has opened a store at Old Street, London for two-days only with offers to buy your personal data.

Kaspersky’s message is that we all give away important facts about ourselves every day, something that cyber criminals value. Whilst (we) the public don’t do enough to protect ourselves. Highlighting this fact, Kaspersky are selling art created by celebrated Shoreditch artist Ben Eine, which shoppers can purchase not with cash but information about ourselves.

The store is only open two-days, Wednesday 06 and Thursday 07-September. Here’s their web page, our pics of the store (during ‘fit-out’) – click here to read more about Ben Eine and his art.

Interestingly, Radley Yeldar the creative agency involved with the design of this pop-up store have subsequently suggested the Data Dollar symbol is used to show ‘consumer data is being exchanged for services’. To read more, click here.
