Studio B Digital Banking Starts In Birmingham

admin CONSUMERS, DIGITAL ECONOMY, RETAIL

Yorkshire Bank has opened the first of its new ‘B’ branches in Birmingham city centre.

The next generation of branches will showcase its digital innovations as it commits to lending £100 million a year to small businesses in the region. B Bank is built around a smart current account and linked deposit account app designed to help customers manage their money.

The city centre branch at New Street, Birmingham is a fully operational branch, and a digital showcase for B.

The store’s design is inspired by Yorkshire Bank’s innovation lab called Studio B in London which opened to the public in April this year. Innovations designed and tested in Studio B will be regularly showcased for customers in Birmingham, offering an insight into the type of technology and services that could be available to customers in the future such as voice activation technology.

Check out their web site here and, below, are some first images our field force captured of the new bank.
