Perhaps contrary to tradition, the OOH sector has seen a busy start to the New Year with several new product launches and re-energised campaigns picking up earlier momentum. Probably the most notable launch is Volkswagen’s T-Roc featuring a belligerent baby ram with the strapline ‘Born Confident’. Great Campaign. And with March’s automotive plate-change, the category is well represented with Skoda, Toyota, Lexus and Ford all advertising. The other busy category is publishing with The Guardian’s new look and tabloid format being widely promoted and the FT continuing last year’s (B&W) campaign. As reported last in-charge travel continues to dominate whilst retailers’ New Year sales have now given way to more BAU (business as usual) advertising from New Look, ASOS and Tesco.
