Celebrate the Tour de France with Paul Smith

admin OOH

We’ll all be watching the Tour de France as it cycles through the hills, dales and urban streets of Yorkshire this weekend; let’s hope we can make it three years on the bounce with another Brit winning the coveted yellow jersey for the final stage in Paris.

Ahead of that, and to celebrate the Tour in the UK, the Secretary of State for Culture asked Paul Smith (Nottingham lad, so nearly Yorkshire) to design something to mark the cultural importance of the Tour de France and its arrival in the UK.

And, above, these are his posters representing:

  • Day-One: 190km from Leeds to Harrogate through the Yorkshire Dales;
  • Day-Two: a dash across the Peak District from York to Sheffield
  • Day-Three: The final stage of the Tour in the UK, when the peloton races 155km from Cambridge to London ending on The Mall.

In the spirit of the Tour, perhaps the greatest free sporting event in the world, the posters are free to download. And, limited signed editions are available to win by anyone posting images of themselves and their bikes using #takenwithmybike on Instagram and Twitter. Download by clicking here

Now, where’s my flask and cycling clips!?
