Is OOH Creatives Going Retro? Latest creatives capture bygone days!

admin BRANDS, DOOH, On The OOH Streets

This OOH (out-of-home) posting period is notable for having two high profile campaigns featuring OOH ads that are reminiscent of 1940’s and 1950’s poster campaigns. And, not surprisingly they have great impact and interest.

The first is for Peroni, which extends their earlier simple holiday-beach side photography – elegant looking woman with sophisticated glass of lager against a bokeh background – now using artistic impression to create the same elegant and sophisticated feel. Think ‘La Dolce Vita‘ – and 1950’s Italy. It actually works extremely well on DOOH panels. The campaign’s hashtag is #italianmade #OOHneat

The second is from Inter Rhone and Cote du Rhone wines currently running on London Underground. Creatives feature 1940’s and 1950’s styled poster adverts but with a modern twist, e.g. night in with the telly, getting  the girls round, etc. Again, the campaign has impact and is suited to the cross platform environment of LU.
